The visit of Newton - Musharafa delegation to  LIFE headquarter in Cairo, Wednesday 15 November 2017, the delegation included Huw Davies, Project Manager of Science Research Program, Education and Society, at The British Council Wales, Daniel Steel, head of science at The British Council Egypt, and Tamim Abaza from UK Embassy in Egypt.

British Council's visit - Nov 2017


Signing a cooperation agreement between Forensic Psychiatric Excellence center (FPEC) and the Egyptian ministry of health, attendance included Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Elmetiny, the dean of faculty of medicine at ASU, Prof. Dr. Samar Abdelazim, the founder and director FPEC, and representatives from both sides.

In order to assess LIFE impact on the egyptian society, a delegation from Coffey, an international project management company, and Newton Fund management, visited our premises at Faculty of medicine, Ain Shams University (ASU), at 19 Feb 2018.


During their visit, the delegation members met ASU president, Prof. Abdelwahab Ezzat, Prof.The dean of Faculty of medicine, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, and Prof. Samar Abdelazim, the Director of LIFE, in presence of Prof. Emad Hegazi, Acting executive director of STDF, and Shahira Emara, Head of Newton Fund at the UK Embassy in Egypt.

Impact assessment visit - Feb 2018


LIFE had organised The 1st International Forensic Psychiatry Day (IFPD), at 30 October 2017, at Cairo - Egypt. The event included discussions about main challenges that are facing developing the forensic psychiatry service in Egypt and UK, it also included announcing localization of HCR-20 for the first time in the Middle East.
